Kyler & Elsa
I met Kyler and Elsa a few years ago while we all lived in Cincinnati. What started as a simple connection through mutual community turned into a steady friendship. Over time, that friendship naturally overlapped with my work behind the camera.
Our first shoot together happened while they were still dating. It was simple and unstructured, just the three of us figuring things out as we went. At that point, I was still refining my style and learning what I wanted my photography to look like. They trusted me with that process.
As their relationship grew, so did the moments I was invited to document. Their engagement. Small gatherings. Ordinary afternoons that did not feel monumental at the time but now hold weight because they represent a season.
In 2026, I photographed their child’s first birthday. There is something steady about photographing the same people across multiple chapters of their lives. You begin to notice growth in subtle ways. Comfort in front of the lens. A rhythm in how they interact. A shared history that shows up without effort.
This short collection of images is less about one milestone and more about continuity. It reflects a friendship that has developed alongside my own photographic journey. From dating to marriage to parenthood, I have had the privilege of documenting both the significant moments and the everyday ones in between.
If you are looking for someone to document your story over time, I would be honored to walk with you through those seasons and capture them as they unfold.
